I’m not even going to explain it – either you’ll get it or you won’t. Year in review, 2009: married in January, baby arrived in October. Went to Paris for the first time. Still struggling to write and express my feelings about that city. Did I mention we had a baby? I’m not going to even try and write about the tsunami of emotions involved with my daughter. Too much. [...] My daughter has started smiling over the past week or so. Mundane but amazing. When she is happy she sings her Madeleine song, an assortment of chirps, burbles, and hoots. At moments of extreme joy she erupts with a yell of delight, often emphasized by a wave of the arm. This is most likely to [...] I added more pictures of the Rocket; they’re all from the DSLR I’ve been using since we returned home. We are home and adjusting to life with Madeleine. Adjusting with a capital ‘A’ – the Rocket can be a holy terror when she has a mind to do so, as should be expected of a girl who was yowling even before the surgeon yanked her out of the womb.
