Obscurorant 2.0

Hopefully – maybe – my picture uploading problems are over.

I can still post through flickr at least. An awkward way of going about it, but no more so than manually coding with HTML tags.

Apparently some folks have problems uploading images after upgrading to Wordpress 2.8, some folks including me. I suppose the problem could be my theme, but I’m not proficient enough to be sure. And I’m getting tired of googling for a solution, having tried several already. Ah well, I can always post pictures the old-fashioned way [...]

Here’s a new look for you;  I haven’t decided if it’s permanent or just a stopgap. Opinions?
I’m still toiling away on the old theme. I sorted out the mess with the page links and got the header and sidebar looking pretty.  But when I upgraded Wordpress  I had to upgrade the old theme (Connections Reloaded) [...]

Well, I’ve upgraded. Still a few glitches though, as you can see.  The main problem is I’ve forgotten all the little tweaks I made to the template, in order to get things looking the way I wanted (and naturally in all the fuss I forgot to save a copy). So I need to remember how to:

Currently wondering: should I upgrade this site from Wordpress 2.0.6 to Wordpress 2.6 (or 2.5)? How much havoc would such a change wreak here?

Been enjoying Sippican Cottage a lot recently, so I added it to the blogroll. Added The Fat Guy while I was at it.

The move is done. The books are shelved and as of this morning we have the internets again.

I’ve been extremely remiss in noting that the new and improved header would not have happened without technical support. I took the photo of Molly, probably a year or two before she died, but it took Heather’s assistance to turn it into a banner.
