Baby, It’s Cold Outside
There’s a storm coming Friday and all sorts of nasty colds are circulating through Boston-area offices. Luckily the Intended and I prepared for this earlier in the week, by buying a bag of lemons, a fifth of Jameson and all the other fixings necessary to make a Hot Toddy the Silver Fox way. A Hot Toddy is the perfect restorative for a winter’s night, soothing the throat, and warming the belly. Directions after the fold so you can fire up your own.
Mix the following in a mug:
1.5 oz. whiskey. Preferably Jameson or Powers.
1 oz. honey
2 tsp sugar
Slice a lemon into quarters. Squeeze three of them into the mug. Stick some cloves into the fourth lemon slice and set it aside.
Put the kettle on the burner. When the kettle sings, pour the hot water into the mug and follow it with the lemon and cloves. Stir. Drink.
BONUS: enjoy the music of The Hot Toddies.

I am a huge proponent of the hot toddy. It will burn the germs right out of you. Last night P and I made a variation found here.

Good stuff..thanks for sharing
