Like many of you, I felt an overwhelming sense of relief the day following the election. After all, reason prevailed.

Just a note, because all my browsing has really copped me on to something. All my friends internationally, and by that I mean web “cloud” friends, are, like the international media, patting the US on the head for the election of Obama. Now, in all seriousness, politics aside, what causes this, and more importantly, what if he does not live up to their expectations, and even MORE importantly, why should we care if he does? I mean, politics aside… is he setting himself up to fail, in the eyes of the world, or did we just elect the human panacea? ah well….I choose bacon too
You might ask your friends when we can expect to see similar events abroad, such as a PM of the UK who is of Jamaican descent or a German head of state with Turkish roots, or a French PM of mixed French-Algerian ethnicity.
