This cool, and appropriate to the Halloween season: a web comic called Lovecraft is Missing. It’s a boss-looking piece of work, and I loves me some Lovecraft, so check it out. The story just started and there haven’t been too many updates, so it should be easy to catch up. I’m guessing Lovecraft is Missing is going to be similar to works like The League of Extraordinary Gentleman, Anno Dracula and A Study in Emerald in which figures from pulp fiction and real life cross paths.
An essay I just read in Michael Chabon’s Maps and Legends has brought the name of M.R. James to my attention. There’s a lovely Penguin edition of his ghost stories, and if I can get a hold of it I should be able to squeeze into the reading queue somewhere around May, 2013.
