Don’t Start Me To Talkin’

I have a vague memory from college, or possibly the years immediately following, of a friend of mine who would cut the Family Circus out of the paper, alter the caption into something as obscene as possible, and hang it on his fridge. (The memory is vague due to the passage of time and the prodigious amounts of booze we were consuming at the time.) This is pretty much the same trick, albeit a little more elevated in tone.

Also, from the library where I am typing this (instead of doing the work work work I have before me) I can look out the window and see the Prudential poking past the tree tops, up into the still blue sky. This makes me unaccountably happy, even though I have no great fondness for the Pru as a piece of architecture.

OK, back to work.
