All That Heaven Will Allow

So the Marliave has re-opened and this is grand.  I’m all in favor of preserving and maintaining bits of Boston’s past. (Requeiscat in pace Littlest.)

But let’s focus on what’s important here people – foie gras sliders. Foie gras sliders will be served in the upstairs dining room at Marliave. Foie. Gras. Sliders. I am so there.

Related: The B-side lounge is closing, which is sad because this is an evil place. Evil as in ‘just one more cocktail’ turns into about, oh, four or five more cocktails, and then you wobble out the door wondering what day it is. But I hold out hope as the B-side is supposedly being reborn as a beer bar a la the Moan and Dove, and hey, the cocktails are staying so I can still get a Blood and Sand.

Lastly: I want to check out this place while it’s still warm enough to eat outside.

  • There should also be a caveat that they keep the baked gouda. And the fries with teh bleu cheese sauce.

I’m not really keen on a beer bar, actually. While I love beer as much as the next person, it changes the nature of the place. At least it will be one less place I’ll be pining for and will (probably) go down as the last place I got stumbling ludicriously drunk at home.

  • Quincy place is making me hungry. YUM DAMN IT. LOL.
