I’m going to be right up front about this thing here. I never had any Jordan Marsh blueberry muffins. I was a Pewter Pot guy; Nana went there and thus did I. Both Jordan Marsh and the Pewter Pot have vanished, all part of the increasing homogenization of Boston and New England.  The blueberry muffins still sound yummy though.

  • I was a Dunkin Donuts kid. I remember sitting and having Chicken Noodle soup at the counter.
Donuts were a very special treat and mostly when my Grandparents were coming to visit on a Sunday. BTW- there were no muffins! There weren’t even Munchkins for a long time. Coffee was served in real mugs and the chicken soup was served in this plastic cup you could take home and use as a measuring cup.

Boy are those days LONG gone. Did I just show my age?? oooopps!

  • I can remember when DD had counter service too.

  • Whew! At least I’m not alone :)

If you’ve ever had one of my mom’s blueberry muffins…you’ve had a JM muffin, albeit turbo-charged. If you haven’t, let’s stop by!
