Hahahaha! The Conqueror had John Hoyt in it. :p Was there any cheesy 60s/70s TV program that he wasn't in at one time or another? He was on The Virginian, Hogan's Heros, The Monkees, Star Trek, Banacek, Planet of The Apes and was in the Movie Flesh Gordon at least. Probably a few dozen more too.

But yeah, John Wayne as the Mongol is a bit much.

I imagine The Conqueror is pretty horrid as well. I'll watch Donovan's Reef eventually, if only to see Wayne and Lee Marvin together.

*nods*

IMO, the 3 worst John Wayne Movies:

Hatari
Circus World
Donovan's Reef

I attribute them to some sort of life crisis on Wayne's part in the early 1960s... I can't think of any other reason he would have been in them. Terrible movies all.

Donovan's Reef was directed by John Ford so that might be how Wayne got roped into that one. He did a long string of Ford movies.
