I’m going to make cream of celery soup this weekend, but I have no idea what to serve with it. Suggestions anyone?

What about a grilled gruyere and ham sandwich? But really good ham. Or prosciutto. And with crusty artisanal bread.
Thinking about food while dieting is dangerous.
I was going to state the obvious as well, make sure you have a delicious, hearty bread to serve with it.
What to serve? Well, it depends on which cream of celery soup you make. If you make a hot soup, then maybe a bit of roasted lamb with herbs would suffice. If you are serving c-o-c of the chilled kind, I might say something more basic like a grilled tomato bruscetta or a warm walnut salad. In either case, if you’re a wine guy, a South American Sauv Blanc would be dee-lish! Make sure to post how it goes, eh?
I’m so sorry, I thought this was Dan’s blog. Please pardon the intrusion.
What, a man can’t broaden his horizons?
“Do I contradict myself? Very well, then, I contradict myself. I am large, I contain multitudes.”
Plus, I love soup.
“..what to serve with it..” and then Bunny suggests lamb? To a man who doesn’t even have a freezer?
This is what happens when I take a break from the local. I am forced to remedy that next week.
I do too have a freezer.
But it would have to be a very small lamb.
lamb chops maybe?
