File under not-for-the-faint-of-heart: I noticed Carl V. has posted a very graphic and disturbing account of what can take place when a bibliophile is left unsupervised. If I were to write a memoir of my childhood I would shamelessly ripoff Bill Bryson and title it The Life and Times of the Broadcast Kid.
